Join PNHP

We are the Charlotte chapter of Physicians for a National Health Program. PNHP is primarily comprised of physicians and other health professionals, but it welcomes and needs more members who support Medicare for All. You can join for as little as $50/year (free for medical and health professional students) and become part of the leading national Medicare for All advocacy group.

Invite us to your groups

The main way we educate the public about Medicare for All is by speaking to groups - Rotary, Kiwanis, church, book clubs, political groups - surely you're a member of some group we could visit. Invite us, and become a speaker yourself by joining our Speakers Bureau.

Write a Letter to an Editor

Make your voice heard! It's not that hard, and it matters. We are happy to help with editing and suggestions. Here are some tips from PNHP. Most newspapers will publish a letter from you once every month. Keep them coming!

Contact your representatives

Contact your representatives

After all, they work for us, right? Frankly, sending emails and even writing traditional mailed letters rarely get anything more than a form reply. But calling their offices does have an impact. Here are some  tips  with DC office numbers to make your calls more effective. And since their legislative aides are often more informed about specific issues than their bosses, email them directly at the addresses on the above link.

Ask your doctors about it

Contact your representatives

A growing majority of physicians support Medicare for All. Ask your doctors if they do, and if they don't, ask why not. Give them a Quick Facts sheet and explain how Medicare for All would help you or someone you know or love. If they're not already a member of PNHP, encourage them to join.

Wear a button

And put a bumper sticker on your car. People will ask you about Medicare for All. Have a Quick Facts sheet to give them and an Elevator Speech to share. We've gained some of our most active members exactly that way. Get buttons and bumper stickers from DeniseFinck@hotmail.com.
